Product Delivery Manager III – Research & Discovery
Position Type: 1 Contractor – Hybrid
Location: Rosemead, CA 91770
Duration: 12 Months
The Product Delivery Manager III – Research & Discovery is responsible for turning ambiguous business needs into clear, validated, and estimate‑ready problem definitions. This is a hands‑on discovery and research role focused on customer insights, journey mapping, and early‑stage prototyping—not a delivery or people‑management role. The position is hybrid, with onsite days on Tuesday and Wednesday at Rosemead, CA.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Discovery & Problem Framing
Convert vague business problems into fully defined opportunities with customer, business, and regulatory context.
Produce “shovel-ready” discovery packets for IT estimation, capital requests, and strategic prioritization.
Collaborate with Senior Manager of Product to create ROI models when needed.
Translate scattered backlog into strategic themes.
Research & Validation Leadership
Lead customer research: interviews, usability tests, concept validation, and prototype feedback.
Leverage call center data, QM analytics, and operational insights to validate root causes.
Identify regulatory constraints affecting solution space in partnership with Senior Manager of Product.
Produce product service blueprints, journey maps, business rule definitions, and low‑fidelity prototypes.
Stakeholder & Scope Management
Align with Domain PMs to understand end‑to‑end journey impacts and constraints early.
Define MVP boundaries with Domain PMs to ensure IT estimates are realistic and validated.
Ensure all discovery artifacts are complete before transitioning work to estimation or execution.
Required Qualifications
5+ years in discovery, UX research, product strategy, or service design.
Strong skills in blueprinting, journey mapping, and early‑stage prototyping.
Ability to translate user needs and operational insights into business value.
Strong synthesis, facilitation, and problem‑solving capabilities.
Preferred / Nice‑to‑Have
Experience in large, complex, and regulated enterprises.
