Position Summary The UIC ECE Department seeks tenure‑track faculty committed to excellence in teaching, research, and service. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, mentoring students, and developing a strong, externally funded research program. Candidates are expected to inspire students, contribute to scholarly productivity, and engage with current research trends in their field.

Duties & Responsibilities The successful candidate will demonstrate an enthusiasm to inspire students, attract them to the department’s programs, and maintain an active research program that advances knowledge in the field. In addition:

Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications Ph.D. in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Computer Science, or a related field, completed prior to appointment.

Preferred Qualifications Preferred candidates will have a record or strong promise of scholarly productivity through publications, sponsored research, and graduate supervision, as well as familiarity with contemporary research directions and methods in their specialization.
