Systems Administrator
located on
Ford Island, Hawaii
to support the
HQ USINDOPACOM J76, K. Mark Takai Pacific Warfighting Center
and enhance and upgrade a myriad of applications and services in an enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide level II and III systems support to Helpdesk and staff.
Create and manage user and group accounts across responsible enclaves.
Build and maintain baseline system images and configuration using MDT, MECM, DSC, Kickstart, and Ansible.
Respond to and implement Cyber Tasking Orders.
Apply patches and conduct regression tests; apply STIGs.
Set up and monitor backups; restore files as needed and routinely test restoration process.
Monitor cloud consumption and cost; monitor hardware health.
Monitor services: Domain Controller, Email, File and Print Servers, DNS, SharePoint, ADFS, WAP, OOS, SQL, ClearPass, DHCP, MECM, VDI, Wyse Management, Log Consolidation, Fortra, PKI.
Provide cloud engineering support for Entra, Intune, Azure, M365.
Upgrade and configure infrastructure hardware and software; update hardware/software list; update systems and network diagrams.
Write and update SOPs and documentation.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and five (5)+ years of relevant experience; or four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree.
Experience with Windows 11, Windows Server, Linux, ESXi.
Working knowledge of network protocols: DHCP, DNS, SMTP, etc.
Working knowledge of infrastructure hardware and appliances.
Working knowledge of security compliance in a DoD environment: STIGs, GPOs, SCAP, FedRAMP.
Foundational knowledge of cloud and cloud technology.
Required Certifications
Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II or higher certification: Security+, CySA+, CISSP, CASP, etc.
Required Clearances
Full TS/SCI clearance obtainable.
Current US Citizen.
Location Ford Island, Pearl City, HI, US
Salary Target salary range $80,001 - $120,000.
Schedule Full-time; Day Job; No Remote Work; No Travel.
