What You’ll Do
Provide home visits year‑round to parents and their children aged 16 months to 4 years old within the YWCA’s Family Housing programs.
Model behaviors that enhance children’s development and promote school readiness.
Maintain and manage a caseload of 13 families per month, including recruitment to keep a full roster.
Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date files and data for your caseload.
Travel 85% of your time to and from home visits; must be able to travel independently.
Adjust work hours to accommodate family schedules; flexibility is required.
Provide age‑ and culturally‑competent services.
Meet outcome and documentation requirements for service delivery.
Apply a strength‑based model as a method of delivering services to all families.
Attend weekly team meetings with the Site Coordinator and other home visitors.
Attend training for the Parent‑Child Home Visiting program as provided by the Site Coordinator or National Center.
Requirements
Experience working with young children.
Knowledge of child development.
Experience doing community outreach.
Experience managing and maintaining data.
Ability to make home visits as needed and maintain confidentiality.
Flexible hours, including weekends.
Valid Washington State Driver License, personal vehicle, insurance, and acceptable driving record.
Basic computer proficiency (emailing, calendaring, Microsoft Office).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team; make sound judgments.
Experience working in a multicultural setting and with communities of color.
Commitment to anti‑racist principles and understanding of intersection of racism and poverty.
Bilingual speakers preferred.
Hours, Rate, and Benefits
Hourly rate: $24.00 – $25.00
Hours: 40 per week
Benefits include medical insurance, retirement plan, generous vacation, holiday, and sick leave.
Optional: Fidelity 403b Plan enrollment at hire.
After two years: eligible for YWCA Retirement Fund.
