Project Engineer | Project Manager – Water Wastewater

We have a position in our Environmental department for a Project Engineer | Project Manager – Water Wastewater in
Charlotte, NC . The role requires a strong understanding of water and wastewater infrastructure and process design, preferably with municipal systems. It involves managing both public and private projects with a focus on local municipal and quasi‑governmental clients (e.g., water/sewer authorities). The candidate must have a strong knowledge of Civil 3D, WaterCAD, SewerCAD, and Microsoft Office. Experience with InfoWorks WS and/or InfoWater modeling software by Innovyze is preferred. Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering and P.E. required.
Responsibilities
Analyze, coordinate, and manage several large or complex projects simultaneously.
Develop and manage project staff, supporting and evaluating each individual toward their maximum potential.
Complete projects successfully, on time and on budget, under broad administrative supervision.
Use advanced project tracking software (Vision/Microsoft Project).
Maintain intermediate knowledge of Word and Excel.
Demonstrate strong organizational, time‑management, communication, and leadership skills.
Have project experience in the southeastern United States, preferably Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a Master’s in a related field.
Registered Professional Engineer required.
2–3 years experience designing municipal water/sewer projects.
Skills
Strong analytical, coordination, and leadership abilities.
Advanced knowledge of project management software.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
Experience with Civil 3D, WaterCAD, and SewerCAD.
Ability to meet project deadlines and budget constraints.
