Quality Control/Quality Assurance Specialist
Location: Salt Lake City, UT, 84101
Method Studio is looking for an experienced Quality Control/Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. This position is responsible for assisting with managing and performing the daily QC responsibilities of specific projects to ensure the project documentation is consistent and in accordance with the established standards. Architectural, construction, or other related experience is required.
Responsibilities
Review technical documents for compliance with applicable codes, constructability and risk management
Participate in a multi-stage review and final evaluation of design and construction documents to confirm compliance with the contract deliverables and project documents (including but not limited to drawing set organization, details, dimensions, interdisciplinary coordination items, specifications coordination, etc.)
Function as technical resource to assist and mentor staff on technical issues for both project plan and quality control related issues
Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to review and provide red-lines for construction documents on a variety of project types including higher education, multi-family, performing arts, sports & recreation and civic work
Demonstrate expertise on code changes and industry trends
Proactively evaluate, coordinate and integrate work with other project team members to ensure consistency and accuracy for the Project Team and firm’s success
Analyze data to identify areas for improvement in the quality system
Direct oversight and review of the documentation workflow process
Prepare reports to communicate outcomes of quality activities
Stay up-to-date on industry standards and best practices in architectural design and construction
Requirements
Licensed Architect with Master’s Degree – Preferred
Bachelor’s Degree – Required
10‑15+ years of experience delivering architectural projects of all scales, complexity, and types including extensive experience producing full construction drawings and performing construction administration
Proven experience in architectural design and quality control
Strong knowledge of building codes and regulations
Excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving skills
Effective communication and collaboration abilities
