Senior Network Engineer (Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI® Required) ASE is looking for a Senior Cisco Network Engineer to work in Honolulu, HI. The Senior Cisco Network Engineer will design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot a large network infrastructure for the Command-and-Control Support System (C2S2). The role requires subject‑matter expertise across multiple security classes and leading projects with minimal oversight.

Responsibilities

Maintain, install, update, and secure network environments using Cisco IOS, routers, Layer 2 switches, access layer switches, ISE, Firepower, and ACI, as well as F5, Palo Alto, VMware NSX, SPLUNK, and ServiceNow.

Perform DISA STIG validations, manage cable systems, develop Cisco‑based asset workflows, and use ACAS to monitor security postures.

Collaborate with developers to build ServiceNow workflows, configure and reconfigure network applications, and maintain LAN/WAN environments.

Manage network security, process IT service requests and trouble tickets, create and maintain network diagrams and SOPs, and report status monthly to the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR).

Occasionally work after‑hours and weekends to support scheduled or unscheduled outages.

Qualifications

Active TS/SCI clearance.

Compliance with DoD 8140.03‑M and Intermediate Proficiency Level.

One of the following IAT‑II certifications: CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP.

Current Cisco Certified Networking Professional (CCNP) certification.

Minimum High School Diploma/GED.

At least 5 years of DoD network engineering experience or 8 years total network engineering experience.

Experience managing Cisco routers, switches, Firepower firewalls, ACI, ISE, Palo Alto firewalls, F5, VMware NSX, SPLUNK, ACAS, WhatsUpGold.

Strong skills using Microsoft Visio and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Physical ability to lift 40 pounds and willingness for occasional after‑hours work.
