Managing Partner | NetSuite & Finance Staffing | Lighthouse Search Lighthouse Search Advisors is proud to partner with a growing manufacturing and distribution company in search of an experienced Controller to lead core financial operations and drive strategic planning initiatives. This is a high-impact role for a hands‑on financial leader who thrives in a dynamic environment—balancing day‑to‑day accounting accuracy with forward‑looking financial strategy.

What You’ll Do As the Controller, you’ll oversee all aspects of financial management—from transactional integrity to forecasting and long‑range planning. You’ll guide a dedicated team, optimize systems, and ensure strong collaboration across accounting, operations, and leadership teams.

Key responsibilities include:

Oversee the company’s NetSuite ERP platform, ensuring data integrity, process optimization, and system enhancements that improve visibility across accounting, inventory, and operations.

Lead, mentor, and develop a team within accounting and inventory functions, fostering accountability and growth.

Develop, implement, and refine financial processes that drive efficiency and support business scalability.

Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic decision‑making and financial planning.

Prepare and review accurate financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards.

Analyze key financial metrics, identify trends, and provide insights to improve profitability and operational performance.

Manage accounts payable and receivable cycles, ensuring accuracy and timely reconciliation.

Oversee tax preparation and ensure compliance with filing requirements and deadlines.

Collaborate with external auditors and provide detailed documentation and support.

Strengthen internal controls and safeguard company assets through robust policies and procedures.

Continuously identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce costs, and enhance reporting efficiency.

What You’ll Bring

7–10+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, ideally within a manufacturing or distribution environment.

5+ years of leadership experience with direct reports.

Proven experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A)—budgeting, forecasting, and strategic modeling.

Hands‑on expertise with NetSuite ERP or a similar enterprise accounting system.

Strong command of GAAP, financial reporting, and compliance.

Proficiency with financial modeling, data analysis, and Excel (advanced level preferred).

Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.

A proactive, collaborative leader with a mindset for continuous improvement.
