3rd Shift Canning Line Operator
– Fortress Nutrition is actively hiring for a 3rd Shift Canning Line Operator to work on our Beverage Canning Line. Candidate should have previous machine operating experience, preferably in food and beverage industry. Must be able to train on 1st or 2nd shift and be accountable for overtime & weekend work as required. Work Schedule
Training Hours:
1st Shift (6:00am-2:30pm, Monday‑Friday). OT and weekends as needed. 2nd Shift (2:00pm-10:30pm, Monday‑Friday). OT and weekends as needed. Standard Hours:
3rd Shift (10:00pm-6:30am, Monday‑Friday). OT and weekends as needed. Job Summary
Working as part of the Beverage Operations team, the Canning Line Operator will operate the high‑speed canning/beverage production line equipment to create, produce, and package products according to client requirements. What You'll Do
Set‑up, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain all high‑speed canning line equipment, including packaging, filler, seamer, and shrink wrapper to ensure quality and efficiency of product output. Notify the maintenance team of mechanical issues that cannot be repaired by the operator. Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMPs, and maintain sanitary conditions to ensure equipment and product quality is maintained at all times. Provide support as needed by working overtime to help operations and other shifts in staffing shortages. Perform all other duties as assigned by leadership. What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED equivalent. 1+ year of previous machine operating experience. Must be able to read, write, and communicate proficiently in English. Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience working in a bottling and canning facility or food/beverage manufacturing environment with understanding of food safety/quality programs such as GMPs. Physical Requirements
Frequently required to stand; walk; talk or hear; reach above shoulders; use hands to finger, handle, grasp, pinch or touch objects, controls, tools or equipment; kneel, crouch and use foot/feet to operate machinery; bend at the waist; climb or balance. Frequently required to lift, carry, move, push or pull materials, product or equipment up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, up to ten (10) or more hours in a single shift. This position requires reliability & punctuality, strong sense of urgency, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Compensation Package
