Full‑Time
position. This on‑site role is 5 days per week and offers the opportunity to help shape a bold, newly launched newsroom focused on agenda‑setting journalism across California and beyond.
Responsibilities & Qualifications

High visibility reporting with statewide and national impact
Collaborative, fast‑paced newsroom environment
7–10+ years of newsroom reporting experience, with a focus on enterprise or investigative reporting
Proven track record of breaking exclusive, high‑impact stories
Strong source development skills across one or multiple hard‑news beats
Exceptional writing, storytelling, and news judgment abilities
Comfort reporting on‑camera and engaging audiences across digital platforms
Lead enterprise and investigative reporting across Los Angeles and California
Break exclusive stories through deep sourcing and original reporting
Develop and execute long‑term investigative projects alongside breaking news
Pitch and produce original stories that uncover wrongdoing, power dynamics, and overlooked communities
Collaborate with editors, photographers, and digital teams on multi‑platform storytelling
Employment Details Posting Salary: $81,328.00 – $116,293.00 (Los Angeles Metropolitan Area)
