Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos. Write simple correspondence. Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. Basic PC/Outlook skills (extra awesome). Under direct supervision, the Meat Clerk provides friendly, courteous and helpful customer service. The role involves cleaning shelves and display cases, maintaining the Meat Wrap displays, taking special orders, and collaborating with the Meat Cutter on item cutting. The position requires lifting up to 50 lbs., bending, standing, and stooping for prolonged periods. The working environment is typical of a fast‑paced grocery store. Essential functions include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking, kneeling, as well as visual and auditory requirements. Food Handler Card or equivalent certification is required for all positions related to preparation, handling and serving food.
