Job Description Position Overview

The Tube Extruder Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining the Tube Extrusion Lines and working as a member of the production team to maintain the facility safety, quality, and productivity standards.

Shift:

Afternoon

Pay Rate:

$22.25/hr (Plus $2.00 Shift Premium)

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

Responsible for scrap, efficiency, and product quality

Set up and operate the tube extruder and supporting equipment according to product specifications and as scheduled by management in a timely manner

Perform all normal running adjustments to the equipment as required to produce the product to specification; record all changes

Responsible for inspecting all raw tubes and ensuring that box counts are accurate, tape the box shut, apply correct product label, and place completed product on the pallet

Notify film/tube dept. utility when the finished product or unused materials are ready to be moved to the warehouse drop area

Responsible for assisting with scheduled PM work to the tube extruder machines

Ensure that quality standards are upheld and that any suspect or defective product is reported to the Shift Leader to be appropriately destroyed or placed on hold for the Quality Facilitator’s review and decision

Complete all documentation accurately

Assist in the training of other personnel in proper maintenance, operation and set-up of equipment according to approved company procedures

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience: Pallet jack/tow motor experience preferred.

Skills: Time management, attention to detail.

Equipment & Machinery: Pallet jack/tow motor certification, RF scanners.

Computer Experience & Software: Basic computer skills, Oracle/WMS knowledge preferred.
