Job Summary
Responsible for movement of raw materials, finished products, and equipment throughout the facility using a forklift truck. May also utilize cranes, hoists, hand trucks, and other moving equipment to meet job requirements. Performs work under direct supervision and handles basic issues and problems.
Key Accountabilities
Accurately removes and stocks product, customer’s product, and various supplies according to inventory plan.
Accurately selects product to fill customer orders and packages them properly.
Loads and unloads trucks and verifies that correct items are loaded and unloaded.
Picking, processing and packing orders; may also be required to cut orders on Kaltenbach saw.
Completes cycle counts.
Identifies, holds, and segregates defective material.
Completes paperwork per work instructions, when required.
Performs general clean‑up.
Inspects forklift at the beginning of every shift; reports issues to immediate supervisor or other designated personnel.
Participates, supports, and complies with all health, safety, ISO, and 6S initiatives and requirements.
Assists in any other duties to support the operation, as requested by supervisor or team lead.
This is a position that works directly on the warehouse floor on or around heavy machinery.
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or GED.
Ability to read and write English (in Quebec, must read and write French).
Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs for 100 feet.
Ability to perform basic math skills.
Previous forklift experience.
Must be able to sit for long periods of time and perform bending, twisting, squatting, reaching and grasping motions.
Safety mindset.
Preferred Requirements
Use of handheld measuring tools.
Basic computer skills and knowledge, such as with database programs and Microsoft Office programs.
