Commercial HVAC‑R Service/Install Technician Position Summary: Schwickert’s Tecta America is seeking motivated individuals to join our team as HVAC‑R Service/Install Technicians. The role involves troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of commercial HVAC‑R systems.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair HVAC‑R system units.

Install commercial HVAC‑R systems, ductwork, specialty equipment, and perform startup.

Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of commercial HVAC units.

Ensure compliance with all applicable HVAC codes and maintain a safe work environment.

On‑call duties as required.

Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Technical school degree desired; or equivalent combination of education and experience but not required.

Ability to learn and take direction from crew Foreman.

Valid Driver’s License.

Must be EPA certified or willing to take the EPA exam within a month of the starting date.

Desired but not required: NATE certification or similar, DDC/Pneumatic control experience, boilers license, and refrigeration background.

No fear of heights.

Able to lift 50+ lbs, sit, stand, and climb stairs.

On‑the‑job training provided.

Starting pay ranges from $25–$42+ per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee will use hands, talk, and hear. The employee is also required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, and kneel. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Bonus and Screening Successful candidates will be eligible for up to a $1,000 sign‑on bonus. This position requires pre‑employment screening which includes drug screening, criminal background check, and DMV check.
