Trauma Coordinator, RN – Full Time – Days Job Summary and Responsibilities Develops strategies, coordinates day‑to‑day operations, and evaluates the impact of services on patients referred to the program.

Works with an interprofessional team to facilitate overall programmatic growth and manages program operations, business development, physician relations, and internal/external activities.

Develop and maintain the Trauma Injury Registry.

Implement policies and procedures for the Trauma Service.

Implement trauma education program for all individuals involved in trauma care at CHI St Luke’s Sugar Land Hospital.

Implement Trauma Performance Improvement (PI) Program for the Trauma Service.

Conduct monthly meetings with Trauma Service Committees.

Act as liaison for CHI St Luke’s Sugar Land Hospital with community and regional EMS providers.

Participate in a leadership role in emergency management.

Financial Responsibilities – review trauma activations for appropriate charge entry; coordinate trauma billing review to assure appropriate account usage.

Professional & Educational – maintain TNCC, PALS, ENPC, ACLS; maintain trauma orientation/education program; meet facility designation standards, quality reviews, and community education.

Data – ensure accurate data for administrative reporting; ensure trauma registry meets Texas and National Trauma Data Bank standards.

Privacy – assure privacy of patient information in accordance with HIPAA; report suspected violations.

Environment & Patient Safety – maintain safe working environment; remove used/soiled equipment and linen promptly; maintain BMV scanning rates; report safety and hazard concerns.

Community Outreach and Education – participate in injury prevention activities and public education; report patient follow‑up to the trauma program of any transferring hospital.

Job Requirements

Registered Nurse with at least 3 years of experience in a specific program area.

RN License.

BLS certification within 14 days.

ACLS certification within 6 months.

PALS certification within 6 months.

Pay Range $35.62 – $52.99 per hour
