Material Handler II - Warehouse ($20/hour)
Planet Aid is a nonprofit organization that collects and recycles used textiles to protect the environment and support sustainable development in impoverished communities worldwide. We are seeking a full‑time Material Handler II to assist with the efficient loading and unloading of donations, processing, recycling, and general cleaning.
Responsibilities
Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, bins, or trucks.
Assists the warehouse in scanning cart information into the computer system.
Properly balances materials and donated goods.
Safely operates warehouse forklifts, including propane/electric models.
Maintains equipment and ensures proper storage.
Maintains a clean and safe work environment for all employees.
Empties carts and sorts material into categories.
Senior-level handlers can operate bailing machines and forklifts.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent, or sufficient work experience.
Minimum 1 year experience as a Material Handler I in Pennsylvania, or 2 years experience in warehouse operations.
Ability to safely and efficiently operate forklifts.
Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing essential duties.
Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to follow safety standards and policies.
Ability to multitask and assist the production team when required.
