Great Peninsula Conservancy (GPC)
is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit land trust dedicated to protecting the natural habitats, rural landscapes, and open spaces of the Great Peninsula region of west Puget Sound, Washington. GPC’s Land Labs program uses local protected lands to enhance STEM education in local schools, engaging students in environmental issues and offering pathways to post‑secondary education and careers in STEM, especially for low‑income families and underachieving schools.
This AmeriCorps VISTA position builds internal capacity for GPC’s stewardship, community science, and Land Labs programs. The fellow will create tools, systems, and processes to support staff‑led implementation and program delivery.
Responsibilities
Develop planning tools and templates for staff to design stewardship and volunteer projects.
Create internal frameworks that support staff management of volunteers.
Build systems for lesson review and curriculum tracking.
Map workflows for community science programs.
Assist with improving data systems for program evaluation.
Develop internal resource guides and process maps that support staff activation of preserves for education and community science.
