JOB TITLE Maintenance Technician – 2nd Shift

SUMMARY The Maintenance Technician is a skilled journeyman responsible for installing, performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing equipment dealing with hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems within an injection molding manufacturing facility. Equipment includes injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment, process water systems, compressed air systems and automated paint lines.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Mentor and monitor apprentices.

Identify and correct safety issues involving equipment and facilities.

Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and systems such as injection molding machines, paint lines and process water systems.

Use knowledge gained through education and experience to troubleshoot and problem‑solve equipment throughout the manufacturing facility, leading to root‑cause corrective actions and repairs.

Install, perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, electrical and mechanical equipment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or GED required; Journeyman card preferred.

Minimum of 2 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment required.

Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and/or mechanical systems required.

Experience with troubleshooting and repairing electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems preferred.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Ability to gather and analyze information and make decisions from a limited number of choices.

Minimum score of 50 on the Wonderlic Select Assessment (Traditional score of 20 on the Cognitive portion).

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS This position typically does not require any travel.
