Fortress Nutrition is actively hiring for a
1st Shift Canning Line Operator
to work on our Beverage Canning Line.
The right candidate will have previous experience in machine operating (preferably in the food and beverage industry, not required), and have a stable work history with previous employers. Must be able to be accountable to the Company's need for overtime & weekend work as required.
Work Schedule: Standard Hours:
1st Shift (6:00am-2:30pm, Monday-Friday); OT and weekends as needed
Job Summary Working as part of the Beverage Operations team,
Canning Line Operator
will operate the high-speed canning/beverage production line equipment to create, produce, and package products according to client requirements.
What You'll Do
Set-up, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain all high-speed canning line equipment, including packaging, filler, seamer, and shrink wrapper to ensure quality and efficiency of product output
Notify the maintenance team of mechanical issues that cannot be repaired by the operator
Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMPs, and maintain sanitary conditions to ensure equipment and product quality is maintained at all times
Provide support as needed by working overtime to help operations and other shifts in staffing shortages
Perform all other duties as assigned by leadership.
What We're Looking For Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
2+ years of previous machine operating experience
Must be able to proficiently read, write, and communicate in English
Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed to support business operations
Must be reliable & punctual, have a strong sense of urgency, and work effectively as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience working in a bottling and canning facility or food/beverage manufacturing environment with understanding of food safety/quality programs such as GMPs
Physical Requirements
Frequently required to stand; walk; talk or hear; reach above shoulders; use hands to finger, handle, grasp, pinch or touch objects, controls, tools or equipment; kneel, crouch and use foot/feet to operate machinery; bend at the waist; climb or balance
Frequently required to lift, carry, move, push or pull materials, product or equipment up to 50 pounds
Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, up to ten (10) or more hours in a single shift
Compensation Package
Starting Pay Rate - $20.00 per hour
Double Pay for ANY Weekend Overtime Hours AND All Hours > 50 Per Week!
