The Opportunity Under direct supervision the Bulk Deli Cheese Clerk provides friendly, courteous, and helpful service. This position assists customers, cleans, fills and rotates the cheese and deli displays in the Bulk Deli. The Bulk Deli Cheese Clerk handles two different shifts; the morning shift begins the day replenishing product, as instructed by the Bulk Deli Manager or Assistant Bulk Deli Manager, in a specifically assigned area. The Bulk Deli Cheese Clerk is responsible for assisting customers throughout the entire shift, maintaining the cleanliness of the department, and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience for all customers.
The working environment is typical of a fast‑paced grocery store. Essential functions include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking and kneeling; as well as visual and auditory requirements. Food Handler Card or its equivalent certification is required for all positions related to preparation, handling and serving food.
