Responsibilities Painting & Surface Prep
Prep equipment surfaces by sanding, grinding, cleaning, and removing rust or old coatings.
Mix, match, and apply primers, sealants, and industrial coatings using spray guns or rollers.
Ensure proper masking, taping, and protection of components not being painted.
Perform touch-ups, color matching, and finish inspections to ensure a clean, professional look.
Light Welding & Fabrication
Perform basic MIG welding on steel components, brackets, rails, and container repair points.
Repair cracks, patch holes, reinforce structural areas, and install minor fabricated parts.
Operate grinders, cutting wheels, and basic fabrication tools safely and effectively.
Follow weld quality standards and verify fit, alignment, and strength of completed work.
Equipment Repair & Refurbishment
Inspect roll-offs, box trucks, and vacuum boxes for damage, corrosion, and wear.
Repair dents, replace hinges/doors, and address minor mechanical or structural issues.
Assist with decal removal/replacement and general fleet appearance improvements.
Maintain a clean, organized workspace and ensure tools and equipment are in proper working order.
Qualifications
Experience with industrial painting, auto-body finishing, or equipment refurbishment preferred.
Basic MIG welding skills; ability to read simple weld instructions or repair diagrams.
Comfortable working around heavy equipment and in a shop environment.
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor (grinding, sanding, lifting, bending).
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing clean, durable finishes.
