Job Summary
As a Lease Operator at Coterra, you are responsible for performing duties related to the daily operations and maintenance of assigned wells and production facilities. You will prepare, maintain and submit reports for daily liquid/gas volumes production, chemicals used, well pressures, and more, while optimizing and maintaining oil and gas production and lease expenses. This position is based in Geary, Oklahoma.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Perform daily operations checks of wells and production facilities; provide prompt notification as conditions change; conduct production tests.
Perform minor repairs of surface production and injection equipment.
Maintain production equipment in good operating condition.
Maintain a clean and safe lease and wellsite.
Submit daily reports of produced volumes of oil, gas and water.
Contact haulers and ensure produced fluids are taken from the lease sites in a timely manner.
Witness and ensure accuracy of gauges, tests and run tickets performed by purchasers.
Assist with construction projects as assigned by Foreman.
Maintain field offices and company equipment including computers, vehicles, and cell phones.
Responsible for maintaining neighborly and positive relationships with land owners and regulatory agency representatives.
Comply with all regulatory, environmental and safety rules and standards, as well as company policies.
Requirements Skills and Experience
Basic understanding of power tools and manual mechanics tools.
Must be a team player with ability to adapt in a fast paced environment.
Basic computing skills is a strong preference.
Clean driving record required.
Able to travel on short notice.
Education Requirements
High School or GED required.
Years Of Experience
Minimum 1 year of experience.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands Work is typically performed outdoors. Exposure to conditions such as extreme heat or cold is likely. Incumbents must be able to physically and legally operate company vehicles and equipment, perform work requiring walking, standing, sitting, bending, stooping, heavy lifting, and climbing, including steps and vertical ladders. Personal protective equipment, including head protection, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety shoes and flame resistant clothing is required. Safety rules including OSHA requirements are strictly enforced. Employees must be willing to travel and work extended hours on short notice.
Other Job Requirements This position requires a valid state issued driver’s license. Employees must pass an initial drug and alcohol screening at hire and may be subject to random drug and alcohol screenings as per DOT Regulations. Required to travel between field sites to perform daily tasks.
