Equipment Maintenance Technician - Nights - D Shift Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail‑oriented Equipment Maintenance Technician to join our team in a fast‑paced electronics manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance. This role requires strong troubleshooting abilities, technical expertise in electronics and mechanical systems, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on automated equipment including robotics, PLC‑controlled systems, SMT lines, conveyors, and inspection systems.

Troubleshoot and repair automation issues involving electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and software components.

Perform regular preventive maintenance on electronic manufacturing equipment.

Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and software issues with manufacturing equipment.

Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production delays.

Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and spare parts usage.

Calibrate and test equipment to ensure it meets operational specifications and quality standards.

Recommend and implement improvements to maintenance procedures and equipment performance.

Maintain compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.

Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical certification in electronics, mechatronics, or related field preferred.

One to two (2) years of work‑related experience required, preferably in electro‑mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment.

Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, schematics, and PLCs.

Proficient in using hand tools, diagnostic instruments, and maintenance software.

Ability to read technical manuals and interpret schematics and diagrams.

Good organizational skills and attention to detail.

Strong problem‑solving and communication skills.

Willingness to work overtime.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.

Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working in confined spaces or at heights if necessary.
