What You’ll Do

Oversee all phases of transmission planning projects—from business development through execution—while managing multidisciplinary teams and ensuring quality deliverables.

Cultivate and grow client relationships through marketing efforts, project interactions, and strategic engagement.

Lead proposal development, project scoping, budgeting, and scheduling activities, and negotiate contracts with utilities, ISOs/RTOs, and developers.

Direct risk assessment processes, coordinate engineering and analytical teams, and communicate project status, risks, and costs to stakeholders and executive leadership.

Train and mentor junior staff on technical and project management aspects of transmission planning, and champion internal initiatives that promote team growth and technical excellence.

Perform advanced transmission planning studies, including steady‑state, transient stability, short circuit, voltage analysis, and production costing, using tools such as PSS®E, PSLF, PowerWorld, PSCAD, EMTP/ATP, ETAP, and Promod.

Apply and interpret regulatory standards (NERC, FERC, and regional policies) to ensure compliant and forward‑thinking planning, and resolve technical challenges related to transmission planning.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, business, computer science or related field from an accredited program and at least 5 years of related professional experience.

Knowledge of project management techniques, tools, and procedures.

Excellent communication skills, strong organizational skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and attention‑to‑detail skills.

Experience leading technical aspects of consulting engagements in power systems, distribution planning, and grid modernization within the critical infrastructure industry.

Experience on consulting projects, client operations, or program management within the infrastructure industry, and understanding of general business and financial principles.

Experience communicating across business segments to understand project objectives.

Compensation $140,000.00–$375,000.00 Yearly. The total annual compensation package will consist of a base salary and eligibility to participate in a discretionary year‑end incentive bonus program.
