POSITION TITLE Behavior Analyst Associate
PAY RANGE $27.00‑$34.09 PER HOUR
REPORTS TO Director of Clinical Services
DESCRIPTION OF POSITION The Behavior Analyst Associate assumes the responsibility for supporting the clinical team under the supervision of the BCBA in the development of behavior plans, behavioral analysis of selected target behaviors, education of staff in plan procedures, facilitating skill acquisition groups post‑master's completion, supporting the family/caregiver with behavioral training, providing appropriate referrals and resources for aftercare support post discharge. The Behavior Analyst Associate maintains knowledge of, participates in further training provided, and understands the potential risks regarding occupational health hazards (e.g. bloodborne pathogen exposures).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Enhances the delivery of effective and measurable behavioral treatment to patients
Collaborate with RNs, Psychiatrists, and other members of the treatment team to decrease maladaptive behaviors observed
Data collection forms, procedures, monitoring and analysis
Assists in the development of behavioral assessment and behavioral treatment protocols under the supervision of the BCBA
Performs indirect and direct assessments of selected target behaviors
Coordinates behavioral assessment and treatment protocols for selected patients
Responds to escalated behaviors and crisis level behaviors to de‑escalate, support, and reduce harm
Provide training and staff education on managing challenging behaviors using replacement behaviors, positive reinforcement, and other principles and procedures
Participate in case conferences and on‑going meetings as necessary for certain patients
Prepares and maintains data collection sheets, other forms for data analysis
Documents services provided using electronic medical record system
Consults other departments as appropriate to collaborate on patient care and performance improvement activities
Facilitates groups post‑master's degree toward skill acquisition, including social skills, ADL support, behavior modification, sensory regulation, etc
Participates in regular meetings with Clinical leadership members to provide program updates
Upholds the Organization's ethics and customer service standards

POSITION REQUIREMENTS Knowledge and Experience
Enrolled in or completion of a Master’s degree program in Behavioral Analysis, Psychology, or similar
On track toward Certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board as a Board‑Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
Minimum one (1) year experience in the provision of behavioral analysis and behavior analytic treatment
Handle With Care certification required, or obtained within initial orientation period
Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required, or obtained within initial orientation period
Skills and Abilities
Maintains confidentiality of patients at all times
Sensitivity to and willingness to interact with persons of various social, cultural, economic and educational backgrounds
Proficiency with software and/or equipment (Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.)
Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize projects, work relatively independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Good judgment, problem solving and decision‑making skills
Demonstrated commitment to working collaboratively as well as possessing the skills to lead, influence, and motivate others
Ability to work in a fast‑paced, expanding organization
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Use standard office equipment and access, input, and retrieve information from a computer. Use computer keyboard with manual and finger dexterity and wrist‑finger speed sufficient to perform repetitive actions efficiently for extended periods of time
Communicate effectively in person or via telephone in a manner which can be understood by those with whom the person is speaking, including a diverse population
Give and follow verbal and written instructions with attention to detail and accuracy
Perform complex mental functions and basic arithmetic functions; interpret complex laws, regulations, and policies; collect, interpret, and/or analyze complex data and information
Vision: see details of objects at close range
Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously
Reach forward, up, down, and to the side. Sit or stand for minimum periods of one hour at a time and come and go from the work area repeatedly throughout the day
Lift up to ten (10) pounds
