About the Program and Position The Transitional Foster Care Program for Unaccompanied Children (UC) is overseen by the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR). It ensures the well‑being and safety of unaccompanied children (ages 0‑17) who cross the U.S. border without an adult. The program places children in foster homes while searching for and assessing potential sponsors identified in the U.S. During their stay, we provide medical care, case management, life‑skills classes, and mental‑health services.
