Manage and coordinate the annual giving, ticket priority, and premium seating program for the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics by developing plans and programs to maximize revenues. Coordinate, in conjunction with the Mountaineer Ticket Office, the ticket priority program for football, men's basketball, postseason events and other athletic events, as assigned. Coordinate solicitations for annual giving and premium seating. Manage assigned staff to reach targeted goals and track and report on progress to complete specific goals and projects. Develop and implement an annual action plan to fulfill all quantifiable work performance goals for annual giving. Oversee data integrity, tracking process and donor information in Paciolan for all annual donations, donor levels, priority points, donor statements, pledges and renewals. Maintain a comprehensive working knowledge of the WVU intercollegiate athletic program assuring effective representation of all aspects of the program and needs for private support. Develop and execute plans for volunteers to assist the athletic development program, including organizing and conducting prospect rating sessions, in conjunction with appropriate WVU Foundation staff, recruiting and training of volunteer leaders, student workers, and conduct other cultivation activities and programs as needed. Initiate and facilitate collegial and cooperative relationships and open communications with other WVU Foundation and University personnel in advancing the mission, philosophy, and objectives of the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics. Coordinate all development efforts with the WVU Foundation and comply with all WVU Foundation reporting and accountability standards. Mountaineer Ticket Office Leadership (50%)
Provides administrative direction and support to Mountaineer Ticket Office and Athletics Gameday Parking staff while serving as primary liaison to Athletics Marketing, Learfield Amplify, Paciolan, the WVU Football program, and external stakeholders. Manage assigned staff to reach targeted goals; and track and report on progress to complete specific goals and projects. Communicate effectively, plan logically, and maintain accurate records. Responsible for budget oversight of Mountaineer Ticket Office and Athletics Gameday Parking. Responsible for maximizing all aspects of the available functionality of the Paciolan ticketing system for the Mountaineer Ticket Office. Implement marketing plans as it relates to athletic ticket sales, including assisting in the development of plans to stimulate ticket sales. Work with Senior Associate Athletics Director/Marketing and Assistant Athletics Director/Marketing to develop comprehensive and effective ticket sales operation via direct sales, mail orders, customer service, phone sales, and promotions. Develop and implement pricing, sales, and distribution strategies in an effort to maximize revenue. Administer the resolution of all customer-related problems concerning tickets and parking passes. Serve as the primary contact between the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and its donors/fans. Duties include identification, communication, follow-up and servicing customer concerns. Must have ability to plan logically, communicate with customers in a positive manner and convey oral and written instructions and policy. Coordinate with the appropriate parties regarding the sale and distribution of tickets to events held at other institutions and facilities, i.e. away games and postseason events. Duties include allocation of tickets, develop ticket settlement reports and assist with related audits. Must have ability to maintain accurate records and interact with other ticket managers. Coordinate the distribution of tickets via NCAA guidelines to student-athletes and prospective student-athletes. Must have ability to maintain thorough and accurate records, interact with other ticket managers and have a working knowledge of current NCAA policies. Maintain knowledge of and comply with all rules, regulations, policies and guidelines of WVU Foundation Inc., West Virginia University, the Big 12 Conference and the NCAA. Must adhere to NCAA Bylaw 11.1 - Conduct of Athletic Personnel. Represent the WVU Foundation, the University, and Intercollegiate Athletics with the highest professional level of integrity, strength of character, and ethics. Manage sensitive and confidential information related to donors, ticket holders, student athletes, coaches and staff utilizing discretion and correct decisions. Faithfully and diligently execute related duties of the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, as requested or assigned by the Senior Associate Athletics Director/Executive Director of the Mountaineer Athletic Club. Education, Experience and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree is required. A Master’s degree is preferred. Relevant experience may be substituted for a Master’s degree. Minimum of 4 years of progressive athletics annual giving and ticket operation experience. Experience with intercollegiate athletics, particularly Division I experience, preferred. Direct experience working with annual giving programs and donors preferred. Must have knowledge and understanding of NCAA rules and regulations. Physical Requirements
