Locations: Southern California, West LA – 3x on-site per week (Hybrid). Contract to Perm. Weekly rate: $75/hour (W2, eligible for benefits).
A growing beauty and skincare brand is seeking a Director of Social Media to own and elevate its presence across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, and emerging platforms. This role sets the creative vision, content strategy, and growth roadmap, driving culturally relevant, high‑performing social content.
Responsibilities
Lead social strategy, platform growth, and audience engagement.
Develop channel‑specific content pillars, series, trends, and storytelling.
Oversee production, creative direction, copy, posting cadence, and feed aesthetic.
Manage content calendars, community engagement, and creator/partner integrations.
Optimize performance through analytics, benchmarks, and competitive insights.
Collaborate cross‑functionally with Creative, Marketing, and Product teams.
Lead and mentor the social team.
Qualifications
7–10+ years in social media/digital content; beauty category preferred.
Proven success growing TikTok and Instagram for a consumer brand.
Strong video‑first creative instincts and excellent copywriting.
Deep knowledge of platform trends, analytics, and best practices.
Experience managing teams and owning end‑to‑end content strategy.
