Industrial Maintenance Mechanic/Millwright
Position located in Edison, NJ, under the direct supervision of the Plant Engineer. Responsible for performing maintenance and repair duties in a safe, quality-driven, efficient, and professional manner, supporting the four core values of the company. Compensation
The base hourly rate is $39.44. Shift
2nd shift 6pm - 2:30am. Day To Day
Supervise/manage small projects as assigned; work independently. Operate machine shop equipment such as lathes, drill presses, and grinders to perform repairs. Maintain, adjust, service and lubricate plant equipment, including production machines, mobile equipment, pumps, valves, and other process-related equipment; inspect and determine required repairs. Repair plant buildings, facilities, utilities and area systems involving plumbing, carpentry, masonry, pipe fitting, and related crafts. Diagnose, repair and install power transmission components—gear boxes, couplings, chains, belts, sprockets, and other related components. Perform welding and gas cutting as required. Diagnose, repair and install pneumatic and hydraulic systems—cylinders, hoses, pumps, and valves. Report time and document work orders in SAP. Utilize inventory system and ensure parts are returned correctly. Assist in production line changeover and setup; lead when necessary. Maintain TPM, deviation/inspection and other required electronic and written logs. Operate overhead crane and lift devices safely and efficiently. Direct multi-craft daily task and job assignment. Lead MRO cycle counting process. Install new equipment as required. Observe equipment and material issues to determine causes of malfunctions. Repair or adjust equipment to achieve desired operating results. Work with engineers, part/mold designers, and other personnel to set up, operate, and debug assigned equipment. Provide ownership and input for extrusion and thermoforming processes to reduce downtime. Initiate/update preventive maintenance, SOPs, PTPs, safety audits, and other activities to improve maintenance department efficiency. What You Bring To The Team
High school diploma with technical college certification or an associate’s degree in a technical discipline with 7+ years of industrial mechanical/electrical repair experience; or 10 years of industrial mechanical/electrical repair experience in lieu of formal education. Experience operating machine shop equipment and making repairs. Welding, gas cutting, and fabrication experience. Experience diagnosing, repairing, and installing power transmission components. Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite experience. Flexibility in work and assignments. Physical Demands
Stand for extended periods on cement floors. Walk, stoop, kneel, bend, and climb ladders and staircases. Lift up to 50 lbs. as required. Benefits
