Job Summary As a Material Handler, you’ll ship, receive, package, count, and route material, complete associated paperwork, and/or operate machinery such as forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.
Primary Responsibilities
Coordinate shipping and receiving, and material handling transactions with appropriate individuals/departments.
Responsible for assigned picking, inventorying, and packaging. Route packaging materials to proper departments.
Instruct and/or assist in preparing merchandise for shipment.
Maintain necessary records and files of transactions, verifying accuracy of shipments against bills of lading, invoices or other records on Oracle or other systems.
Sets up locations in ERP and resolves purchase order receiving discrepancies and receiving discrepancies with planner-buyer.
Arranges stock to best advantage for efficiency and accessibility. Adheres to all safety rules and may use forklift and other material-moving tools and moving machinery.
Deliver product from receiving to the appropriate destination.
Expedite internal material requirements, transferring inventory to multiple locations, including MRB.
Performs inventories; physically performs and transacts cycle counts of materials.
Reconcile bad counts with assistance from the supervisor.
