Vial Fill Operator Shift:

3rd shift hours are 8:00PM to 6:30AM

Note:

Initial orientation and on-the-job training takes place on 1st shift. (1st shift hours are 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m)

Rate of Pay : $25 (+15% for all hours worked on 3rd shift)

Position Summary The Vial Technician is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining specialized pharmaceutical production equipment on vial-filling lines within a GMP-regulated environment. This position ensures that pharmaceutical products are processed and packaged according to established procedures, quality standards, and regulatory guidelines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Operate and monitor vial filling, capping, sealing, and inspection equipment in compliance with SOPs and batch record requirements.

Set up equipment based on bulk material characteristics and production requirements.

Perform in-process checks to ensure line performance, product quality, and documentation compliance.

Detect and troubleshoot issues with individual sub-systems (e.g., filling heads, conveyors, labelers) and correct problems to minimize downtime.

Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams when mechanical adjustments or repairs are needed.

Accurately complete production logs, batch records, and other required documentation.

Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas in accordance with GMP and company hygiene standards.

Follow all safety procedures, use proper PPE, and adhere to environmental regulations and company policies.

Participate in training, continuous improvement initiatives, and cross-functional team efforts.

Communicate effectively with supervisors, quality personnel, and team members to ensure smooth production flow.

Minimum Qualifications Education and Experience

High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience with batching & compounding is a MUST!

1–3 years of experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment or a comparable regulated manufacturing setting is a

MUST!

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Working knowledge of pharmaceutical production practices and cGMP guidelines.

Skilled in operating and adjusting various types of pharmaceutical production equipment.

Understanding of how individual components and sub-systems contribute to overall line function.

Ability to interpret how material and bulk characteristics impact machine operation.

Proficient in detecting, diagnosing, and correcting equipment malfunctions.

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously.

Effective communication skills with coworkers and management in a professional manner.

Basic math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and compute ratios, rates, and percentages.

Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram, and schedule-based instructions.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

Work is performed in a cleanroom or controlled environment setting.

May require standing for extended periods, repetitive motion, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Use of PPE (gowning, gloves, masks, etc.) is mandatory.

Exposure to sterile environments, pressurized systems, and noise levels consistent with manufacturing equipment.
