This is a
part‑time
position (maximum of 24 hours/week). The role requires availability during regular daytime hours.
This is a School Employees Retirement System position, with no collective bargaining unit.

Responsibilities
Implement positive programming in accordance with School Climate initiatives and school safety and security duties.
Facilitate and supervise students in refocusing and restoring their attention to classroom, school, and district rules.
Interact with building personnel and students to ensure successful transition of students from alternative programs into new building or classroom environment.
Facilitate and supervise positive participation opportunities for students in the building throughout the school day.
Assist in monitoring student behavior to support a positive educational opportunity at a universal level.
Use preventative, proactive, dignified management techniques to respect and correct students.
Attend meetings, trainings, and in‑services as scheduled.
Keep accurate and timely reports and documents.
Assist students in returning to their regular instructional program.
Demonstrate a strong desire to serve the school and community.
Assist in creating and building restorative intervention (Peace Circles) for staff and students.
Manage relationships with students through restorative interventions and programming.
Through coaching and modeling, support students and school staff in building capacity to implement and carry out restorative interventions.
Assist and support the administration and staff in organizing restorative intervention and positive behavior initiatives and projects.
Support the development of safe youth‑centered spaces for all students and staff, either virtually or face‑to‑face.
Facilitate student leadership and/or student programming.
Maintain a level of authority when interacting with students.
Required Qualifications
Completion of a High School Diploma or GED.
Satisfactory BCI & FBI criminal background check per Ohio Revised Code.
1–3 years of experience working collaboratively in a youth‑based and team‑oriented environment.
A high degree of physical stamina to be capable of performing the physical demands of the job (climb, walk, etc.).
CPI trained or willingness to be trained within 12 months of hire date.
Desired Qualifications
Excellent communication skills with a focus on transparency.
Good problem‑solving skills.
Excellent customer service skills.
The ability to follow oral and written directions.
The ability to communicate oral and/or written ideas and directives clearly and effectively.
The ability to work well with others.
