Job Description Serve as primary academic advisor for 200 students in the Heartland Scholars and Vasey Academy programs and approximately 50 non-Programs of Distinction students. Provide individualized support in course planning, degree progression, and navigating university resources. Monitor student academic progress and coordinate interventions as necessary. Collaborate with the Academic Advising Office and the broader team to advance college-wide advising and student support initiatives.

40% Program Coordination
Recruiting incoming freshmen into the programs
Attending freshman cohort classes as needed
Coordinating mentorship relationships
Overseeing weekly study halls for freshmen cohorts
Support into corporate site visits and international experiences
Collaborate on promotion materials and social media posts
Assist with Vasey Advisory Board meeting preparation
Participate in and supporting upper-level program events
Assisting with the creation of annual program impact reports
5% Track expenditures, prepare financial reports, and assist with annual program budgets. Ensure compliance with university policies.
5% Support Advancement to engage alumni, donors, and stakeholders. Assist with donor stewardship via program events.
5% Other duties as assigned by the Director of Undergraduate Advising.
Shift Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary
Preferred Qualifications Master's degree or bachelor's degree with equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired.
Three years working in higher education serving as an advisor to students.
Knowledge of academic policies and student affairs is also beneficial.
Salary Range Salary Range: $52,000 - $68,000
Grade: GGS 10
