PAR has been providing comprehensive behavioral health treatment in west Florida since 1970 through advocacy, education, clinical services, and research.

Job Summary Performs parenting and reunification sessions in individual and group settings with clients on‑site at PAR Village. Assists in building parenting skills, to support the parent in developing parenting and co‑parenting plans. The counselor will work with a team of clinical staff. This position also provides evaluation, screening and assessment services as needed for clients, their children and significant others.
Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services or a related field, or a bachelor’s degree in another field plus a minimum of two years of work experience with adolescent age and families.
A comparable amount of training, education, or experience may be substituted for the above minimum qualifications if regulatory requirements for the position are met.
Skills and Abilities
Ability to write accurately and legibly
Moderate proficiency in the use of Microsoft Windows‑based computers
Ability to accurately type at least 40 words per minute
Ability to sit at a desk and view a display screen for extended periods of time
Ability to bend and to sit in meetings for extended periods of time
Ability to move throughout program facilities both indoors and outdoors
Environmental Conditions
Treatment program / Office
Fast paced environment
Exposure to individuals who may be experiencing emotional distress or agitation
Possible exposure to clients with communicable diseases
Special Requirements
Must have a valid driver’s licence or ID card
Must pass a level II background check and drug screen
Must maintain current training as required by Operation PAR, Inc.
