Overview With more than 25,000 employees, HII’s Newport News Shipbuilding division is the largest industrial employer in Virginia. We design, build, and refuel U.S. Navy nuclear aircraft carriers and submarines, among other advanced naval assets. Our team ranges from skilled trades to engineers, software developers, and solution architects.

The Role Supervises, assigns, coordinates, and evaluates semi‑skilled and skilled trades personnel according to their skill, experience, and job knowledge. Trains employees to improve the quality and quantity of their work, recommends training to enhance skill and productivity, and assists in developing training procedures. Breaks broad strategies into practical action plans, ensuring employees are trained to execute them. Responsible for compliance with all technical aspects, adherence to drawings, procedures, and other specifications. Oversees manufacturing, installation, operation, testing, and process operations that have a significant financial impact on company performance. Monitors job and budget performance for all shifts.

Sign‑On Bonus Newport News Shipbuilding, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries, is offering a $5,000 sign‑on bonus to new Foreman hires. Eligible job seekers who apply on qualifying requisitions will receive the bonus. Current employees are also eligible.
