Senior Teller/Customer Service Representative

The Senior Teller/Customer Service Representative with PlainsCapital Bank processes a variety of financial transactions including cashing checks, receiving deposits, distributing withdrawals, processing transfers, accepting loan payments and preparing change orders. The position also assists front‑line staff with complex transactions, provides overrides and approvals on escalated transactions, opens new accounts, processes check orders, issues debit cards and performs general account maintenance.
NOTE: Position will relocate to Prosper in late 2026 once the new Prosper branch for PlainsCapital Bank is finished with construction.

Responsibilities
Provides excellent customer service, including prompt acknowledgment of the customer, maintaining a friendly and courteous disposition, presenting a professional image, and accurately processing customer transactions.
Processes a variety of transactions, including cashing checks, receiving deposits, distributing withdrawals, processing transfers, accepting loan payments and preparing change orders.
Assists tellers with escalated and complex transactions, reviews other teller transactions and provides overrides as appropriate and within assigned limits.
Helps conduct research on outages and relays information to branch management and the research department.
Performs vault duties including ordering and verifying coin and currency, preparing outgoing coin, disbursing change orders to tellers, verifying cash received or distributed by vault, and balancing the vault as scheduled.
Responds to routine inquiries regarding bank products and services for both customers and employees, in person, over the telephone or by mail.
Offers notary service.
May assist branch management and/or lead teller with teller reports, including audit and shipment logs.
Performs branch opening and closing duties in accordance with security and dual‑control requirements.
Opens new accounts and cross‑sells bank products and services, explains available options, consults to assess customer needs, guides selection, or refers to the appropriate business line.
Inputs customer information and prepares required documentation to open new accounts, reviewing and explaining documentation and obtaining signatures.
Performs general account maintenance, processes address changes, places stop payments on checks, processes e‑statement requests and closes accounts following procedures.
Other duties as required.
Qualifications
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
1 to 3 years of teller experience required.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) using a basic calculator.
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Excellent time‑management, organizational and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to multi‑task in a deadline‑driven environment.
Excellent PC skills, including Microsoft Office word processing and spreadsheets, as well as custom applications and systems.
Must be self‑motivated with strong initiative, high accountability and meticulous attention to detail.
