Profil De Candidat Recherché Requirements for a Dispatcher
The Dispatcher Supervisor is responsible for the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of transportation services for Asheville Redefines Transit (ART). The purpose is achieved by initiating, responding, and dispatching calls to/from Bus Operators including serving as the liaison between emergency service personnel, management, government officials and the public
Major Responsibilities:
Ensuring routes and scheduled work assignments are filled with proper and adequate personnel.
Serves in a lead supervisor role, when requested by management, by coordinating with peers in Operations Supervision through various means of communication (text, 2-way radios, CAD/AVL, phone, in-person, etc.)
Proficiently utilize computer applications and systems to ensure Bus Operators sign in and out and the start and conclusion of their workday.
Tracks route adjustment and on-time performance trends to support management in making recommendations for schedule adjustments
Demonstrates support of the corporate values for being Caring, United, Daring, and Efficient
Exhibits familiarity with FTA, DOT, OSHA, NIMS, FCC, and ADA regulations in the performance of day-to-day duties.
Manages emergency events received through various modes and deploys the correct resources while notifying management for awareness and response.
Knowledge of the collective bargaining contract (CBA) to ensure compliance in terms of bid/mark-up picking, scheduling, absenteeism, and corrective actions.
Tracks attendance and subsequent actions to support how bus service was achieved
Manages documentation reporting on the status of vehicles and replacements, open routes, and other on-going operation items--record all late buses, breakdowns, and accidents on the dispatch log.
Provides customer service to internal and external customers while prioritizing other tasks in a fast-paced and multi-functional environment.
Investigates and implements discipline in conjunction with the CBA (absenteeism, procedural/behavioral, DOT/CDL non-compliance, etc.).
Be willing and able to drive a revenue service
Responsibilities Of a Dispatcher
Collaborates with routing specialists and schedulers to optimize routes
Dispatch drivers using information provided by the clients through the reservation department and the online reservation application
Review and respond to all incoming calls, confirming all details with the client review reservation two weeks out
Discuss with the client availability to review online reservations
Field incoming calls for the exact day requests, ensure availability, and examine possible route changes
Initiate all outbound calls to the city connect and access
Troubleshoot and resolve potential pick-up problems before they result in service issues
Ensure service on missed pick-ups by coordinating driver movement in the field
Assist in determining the daily level of driver staffing to provide the best mix of responsiveness and productivity
Other duties assigned by the operation staff
Education Requirement
High school diploma or GED
Salary: 60,159
