Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and service-oriented Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position involves high guest interaction and requires delivering services in a professional, efficient, and friendly manner. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the overall condition of the property, performing basic electrical, carpentry, plumbing, mechanical, and painting work. You will complete maintenance work orders from all departments in a timely manner, participate in the property-wide preventative maintenance program, and support special projects as assigned by the Chief Engineer.
Education & Experience
High School Diploma or GED required; equivalent work experience accepted.
Computer skills required; familiarity with Microsoft Office preferred.
Experience with hotel operating systems is a plus.
Knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and equipment used in general building maintenance—carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and facility repairs.
Strong ability in systems design, troubleshooting, and diagnosing maintenance issues.
Minimum 2 years of experience as a commercial electrician or in another skilled trade (plumbing, HVAC, etc.).
Requirements
Strong command of the English language, both written and verbal.
Excellent communication and guest-service skills.
Ability to lift and transport 50 lbs.
Ability to push/pull carts or equipment up to 250 lbs.
Physically capable of moving throughout the property and performing hands-on work.
Comfortable communicating with guests, management, and team members.
Ability to work on stepladders and perform tasks in variable temperature and noise conditions.
Exposure to indoor/outdoor environments, fumes, odors, dust, mites, and chemicals is expected.
Ability to stand and maintain mobility for up to 8 hours.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
