Position Overview: As part of the talented Mercury Marine Plant 103 2nd Shift team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of warehouse, distribution, shipping, receiving, and kitting functions. You also must ensure a safe work environment and adhere to established standards for production and quality.
Essential Functions:
Receiving product through a Manhattan Warehouse Management System.
Picking and packaging of parts and accessories for shipping.
Kitting of components as customer demand dictates.
Understand how to read process sheets, manufacturing instruction sheets, or other job‑related documentation.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment by complying with the JSAs, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Rules, and plant safety rules. Report quality and safety issues to management.
Daily and regular attendance is required.
Work overtime as required, including weekends and holidays if operation needs dictate.
Have the physical ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform these tasks, as specified in the Physical Requirements section of this Job Description.
Be available to work on all shifts.
Required Qualifications:
Must be 18+ years old.
HS Diploma or GED.
Ability to read process sheets, bills of material, and standardized work instructions.
Basic math skills (adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing).
Ability to communicate and comprehend information both verbally and writtenly with supervision and work associates. Proficiency in English required.
Working Conditions:
Must lift/carry 25–50 pounds occasionally, walk multiple steps in a day, stand for 8 hours/day, and perform repetitive movements.
Work in all plant environments within warehouse and distribution.
Operate/drive PIT equipment, including reach truck, OP, pallet jack, etc., if needed.
