Maintenance Technician – Electrical & Mechanical

EDCOAT is looking for a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to support our coil coating, slitting, and warehousing operations. This hands‑on, mid‑to senior‑level role focuses on advanced troubleshooting, equipment optimization, and leading critical repairs across both mechanical and electrical systems. Base Pay Range

$27.00/hr – $40.00/hr (DOE) What You’ll Do

Perform and lead complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs with minimal supervision. Maintain and troubleshoot paint line ovens, HTHW systems, wastewater treatment systems, motors, pumps, conveyors, and related industrial equipment. Troubleshoot and program PLCs and automation systems. Diagnose root causes of equipment failures and implement long‑term corrective actions. Leadership & Project Ownership

Lead small to mid‑sized maintenance projects, including equipment installs, upgrades, and modifications. Mentor and train entry‑to mid‑level Maintenance team members. Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to support production goals. Preventive Maintenance & Safety

Design and oversee preventive maintenance programs to ensure uptime and equipment longevity. Ensure compliance with safety standards, including lockout/tagout. Conduct safety audits and recommend improvements. Documentation & Vendor Coordination

Maintain accurate maintenance records, technical documentation, and CMMS entries. Work with vendors to source parts, coordinate repairs, and support equipment installations. What You Bring

High school diploma or equivalent (technical certifications preferred). 3–5 years of experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance. Strong mechanical AND/OR electrical troubleshooting abilities—experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems a plus. Hands‑on skills in welding, pipe fitting, blueprint reading (mechanical & electrical), and electrical testing. Proficiency with diagnostics tools (multimeters, schematics, PLC interfaces). Required experience in wastewater treatment, AC/DC circuitry, VFDs, 3‑phase, hydraulic troubleshooting, and overhead crane troubleshooting. Experience operating or maintaining CNC equipment, motors, pumps, and industrial automation systems. CMMS experience. Completion of EDCOAT’s Maintenance II Training Program (internal candidates). Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and push/pull up to 75 lbs. Frequent walking, standing, climbing, bending, and working on concrete floors. Comfortable working in hot, cold, or noisy environments and occasionally entering confined spaces. Why You’ll Love Working Here
