The Loader Operator is responsible for safely operating a loader and/or other types of heavy equipment to efficiently achieve and maintain production goals in an aggregate plant setting. Essential Job Accountabilities
Transport aggregate or other material throughout the worksite, feed hoppers or chutes, and/or stockpile aggregates. Load and unload customer’s trucks with aggregate or other materials. Perform inspections of equipment, tools, machinery, and worksite. Effectively communicate with internal/external customers as required. Operate other heavy equipment including but not limited to dozers, skid steers, haul trucks, water trucks, forklifts. Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of worksite. Assist in performing routine and preventative maintenance on plants and equipment. Shovel excess material away from conveyors and plants as needed. Perform other duties as required. Education
High school diploma or GED equivalency, preferred. Work Experience
Two (2) years of experience operating heavy mobile equipment in aggregate plants, required. Experience working with construction aggregate material. Basic mechanical skills, preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to wear a full body harness and work at heights while tied off. Ability to work day, swing, and night shifts (occasionally extended hours). Ability to work in constant exposure to outside elements, in all weather conditions. Ability to work in safety sensitive construction setting, including exposure to moving machinery and heavy equipment. Ability to work collaboratively with a team in a fast‑paced and complex environment. Ability to squat, crawl, and work in awkward positions/confined spaces. Ability to obtain an MSHA Part 46 certificate as required for the job. Ability to communicate effectively.Ability to understand and comply with MSHA rules and regulations. Physicalands
Physical dexterity, stamina, and excellent hand‑eye coordination with ability to: grasp, assemble, and lift objects, stand, sit, and walk for extended periods over uneven surfaces, squat, bend, climb ladders onto equipment or other objects, and potentially lie down.
