Responsibilities
Perform all aspects of Lineworker tasks, including maintaining and building overhead and underground electrical facilities.
Work in enclosed spaces, manholes, and vaults with a Live Safe mindset, mitigating hazards.
At helper level: learn human performance and safety tools, drive trucks and operate aerial bucket, bread vans, and digger derrick trucks, read job prints and sketches.
At Lineworker I: use PPE, conduct confined‑space and bucket rescue tasks, lift and rig material, cover secondary lines, perform energized work on secondary voltage lines, use meters for tests, and install 3‑ and 4‑wire secondary lines.
At Lineworker II: perform underground tasks up to 34,500 V, understand transformer theory, perform primary voltage switching up to 34,500 V, troubleshoot and repair energized underground secondary cable.
At Lineworker III: build and maintain underground residential and network grid distribution circuits, operate pad‑mount switchgear, trouble URD circuits, and manage three‑phase primary tasks.
At Lineworker Sr: lead crews, perform advanced primary voltage switching, construct vaults, troubleshoot network protectors, install communication equipment, and conduct complex underground troubleshooting.
Maintain a well‑organized jobsite and complete mandatory training (First Aid, CPR, etc.).
Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent.
0–1 year experience at Lineworker Mech, Helper; 6 months–1 year for Mech I; 1.5–2 years for Mech II; 2.5–3 years for Mech III; 3.5–4 years for Mech Sr.
Valid driver’s license; ability to obtain Class‑A CDL.
Fitness‑for‑duty testing; physical strength for all weather conditions and irregular hours.
Good communication skills and ability to follow directives.
Strong safety orientation and ability to recognize and mitigate hazards.
Excellent teamwork, customer service, and process‑improvement mindset.
