Sign‑On Bonus Up to $10,000 bonus for qualified CDL Class A drivers.

Location Cedar Rapids, IA

Job Summary The CDL Class A Driver (LTL) is responsible for driving a tractor‑trailer combination or straight truck to deliver and pick up palletized freight and large shipments across the Midwest.

Hours and Wages

Monday‑Friday, 7:30 AM start to route completion.

10‑15 hours of overtime expected each week; paid at 1½ times regular rate after 40 hours.

Pay ranges $23.00‑$27.00 per hour based on experience.

Duties and Responsibilities

Conduct pre‑trip inspection and complete related forms.

Deliver palletized freight and pick up shipments on schedule.

Verify load documentation and ensure accuracy.

Collect payment, return bill of lading for billing purposes.

Maintain required DOT certifications and safety policies.

Wash tractor and equipment daily.

Assist other drivers with loading, delivery, or pickup as needed.

Skills and Abilities

Operate a manual transmission and obtain doubles/triples endorsement.

Strong customer‑service and organizational skills.

Work independently and make quick decisions.

Education and Experience

At least 21 years of age.

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Valid CDL Class A driver’s license with good driving record.

Physical Requirements

Pass a DOT physical.

Lift up to 50 lbs regularly, up to 100 lbs occasionally.

No limits on grasping, standing, squatting, stair climbing, walking, etc.

Handle freight including hazardous, perishable, alcohol, firearms, ammunition, live animals.
