Requirements

1-2 years of experience operating a stand-up forklift in a cold storage warehouse environment (preferred)

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Certification: Stand‑up forklift certification (required)

Familiarity with ERP systems such as D365 (preferred)

Available to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends & holidays

Bilingual-English/Spanish (preferred)

Job Description At GT’s Living Foods, our Warehouse Forklift Operators (II) ensure that every case/keg of finished product is maintained in cold storage in accordance with quality standards and product specifications. Warehouse Forklift Operators (II) are responsible for transporting pallets of finished product in and out of the warehouse cold storage facility using a stand‑up forklift. Warehouse Forklift Operators (II) must precisely load and retrieve pallets of finished product onto and from pallet runners in the cold storage area while adhering to the First‑In, First‑Out (FIFO) method and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Inspect forklift for damage and complete 'Forklift Operator's Daily Checklist' prior to operation to confirm forklift functions properly

Review daily product order schedule and assignment, including outbound and transfer shipments

Operate stand‑up forklift to transport pallets of finished product from the production line to be loaded onto pallet runners in the cooler

Ensure pallets of finished product are transported to the cooler in a timely manner according to quality standards and GMP guidelines

Operate stand‑up forklift to transport pallets of finished product from the cooler to the staging area to be repalletized

Use the FIFO method to ensure pallets of finished product are taken out of the cooler according to load date and time

Use RF scanner to complete systematic transactions, including tracking inventory, date and time of loading/unloading in cooler, and location of pallets in ERP/D365

Adhere to all workplace safety standards, such as Lockout/Tagout, OSHA guidelines and other company policies and procedures

Perform other duties as assigned

Employees are required to stand for the majority of their shift.

Frequent work near moving mechanical parts (forklifts)

Frequent exposure to electrical equipment (forklift batteries and charging stations)

Occasional walking to build orders, repalletize, wrap pallets with shrink wrap, and verify quantity/location of pallets.

Occasional bending, crouching, reaching, lifting, and carrying of cases of finished product (up to 40 lbs.) for repalletization.

Occasional bending, crouching, reaching, lifting, and carrying of pallets (30 lbs.) to separate and place in designated piles according to pallet type.

Occasional overhead reaching, pulling, and lifting (30-40 lbs.) to open/close trailer doors.

Occasional pulling of pallet jack to organize empty pallets (HQ Facility).

Employees are occasionally required to sit to operate sit‑down forklift and are rarely required to operate stand‑up forklift in a cold storage environment (20-30°F)

Employees are occasionally required to work in a warm and humid warehouse environment (80-90°F)

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Ability to adapt, work, and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced/dynamic environment

Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors

Ability to problem‑solve and elevate issues to the appropriate party

Strong attention to detail and the ability to reference documents

Demonstrates teamwork as well as the ability to work independently

Knowledge of safety, GMP, and PPE requirements

Knowledge of basic arithmetic including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide

Job Details

Work Hours: Graveyard 8 pm

Work Attire: Use good judgement, keeping in mind the nature of the work, each employee’s own safety and the safety of others, and the need to interact with the public.

Pay Range: $19.50
