Responsibilities The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring equipment uptime through timely, in-depth troubleshooting and repair. The role involves:
Diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining production equipment including injection molders, blow molders, fillers/cappers, labelers, case packers, conveyors, palletizers, and stretch wrappers.
Repairing facilities and auxiliary equipment such as chillers, air compressors, Reverse Osmosis units, water filtration equipment, and performing general plant maintenance.
Collaborating directly with machine operators, supervisors, preventative maintenance mechanics, and senior maintenance technicians to resolve mechanical issues during shifts.
Proposing solutions to complex, recurring problems on production equipment to senior mechanics and management.
Using schematics, technical drawings, and testing equipment to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
Conducting repairs on conveyors, fixtures, equipment, and industrial control systems.
Maintain industrial control systems and complete required work order paperwork, documenting parts and material usage.
Adhering to plant safety rules, using PPE where required, and supporting a culture of safety.
Ensuring regular and predictable attendance to maintain equipment and facility uptime.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
4 years of experience in field or a similar maintenance environment.
4 years of experience in a maintenance position.
4 years of experience managing people or projects.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and resolve issues across departments.
Basic experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Ability to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
Proficient in shop equipment: hydraulic and mechanical presses, bench grinder, drill press, mill, lathe, and assorted power tools.
Skilled with precision measuring equipment such as calipers, dial indicators, bore gauges, and depth gauges.
Willingness to be a technical leader and trainer within a specific area of plant or machine center.
Own toolbox and basic tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
6 years of experience in field or a similar manufacturing environment.
6 years of experience in the maintenance position.
6 years of experience managing people or projects.
Experience in high‑speed manufacturing, bottling, beverage, packaging, or plastics industries.
Experience with VFD, servo drives, and servo motor systems.
Experience with rotary equipment such as rotary press or filler.
Knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer, or plastics processing.
Familiarity with Krones, Sidel, or Husky equipment.
Experience with HVAC systems including chillers and air compressors.
Skilled in fabrication: cutting, welding (MIG, TIG, or stick).
Skilled with electrical systems 480VAC & 24VDC power.
Ability to read and interpret process and instrumentation schematics.
Experience repairing VFDs, servo motors, controllers, communication systems (ASI‑Bus, CAN‑Bus, PROFIBUS, Ethernet), PLC I/O cards, and safety modules.

Minimum Required: High School Diploma.
Preferred: Associate’s Degree in manufacturing technology, mechatronics, industrial manufacturing, manufacturing automation, or a related specialization.
