Accountability: Executive Pastor, Communication Director

Position Overview

The Media Coordinator will support the Communications Department by producing high-quality visual and digital content that reflects the mission and ministry of Grand Parkway Baptist Church. This position combines creativity, technical skill, and attention to detail to help communicate church events, stories, and initiatives through photo, video, print, and digital media.

The ideal candidate is a creative self-starter with a strong sense of visual storytelling, an eye for design, and a heart for the local church.

Key Responsibilities

Capture and edit photo and video content for church events, ministries, and promotions.

Design graphics for digital signage, on-campus screens, print materials, and online platforms.

Create and adapt visual content for the church website, social media, and email communications.

Edit and produce video and audio content for ministry use (including worship services, events, and stories).

Maintain and update website content.

Assist with posting and managing content on church social media channels under the direction of the Communications Director.

Collaborate with ministry leaders to execute design and media projects that support church events and initiatives.

Ensure brand consistency across all platforms and communication channels.

Manage production timelines and maintain organized digital assets and archives.

Qualifications

Required:

Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere (and familiarity with Canva).

Basic knowledge of audio editing and file management.

Experience managing and updating website content (WordPress preferred).

Strong understanding of photography, lighting, and composition.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Availability for regular office hours, with occasional evenings, weekends, and extended ministry hours as needed.

Understanding and embrace of the mission, vision, values, and DNA of Grand Parkway Baptist Church.

Preferred:

Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Media Production, Communications, or a related field.

Experience with Canon and Blackmagic Design cameras.

Experience creating content for churches or nonprofit organizations.

Mobility/Physical Demands:

Employee must sit, stand and walk

Employee must talk and listen via face-to-face contact and telephone

Employee must be able to lift fifty pounds

Typical office and church environment

Valid Texas Drivers License Local and regional travel is required

Work schedule: regular office hours with some evening/weekends and extended ministry hours

Social Media:

Caution and sensitivity needs to be used when posting photographs and personal convictions on social media websites.
