Day in the Life As the Senior Master Scheduler, you start your day by reviewing the multi-site master production schedule against demand and S&OP. You validate labor and machine capacity, check materials and design readiness for incoming orders, and adjust priorities to protect customer commitments and reduce past-due revenue. Throughout the day, you partner with Purchasing to align raw material plans, guide cross‑functional teams on NPI launch timelines, and use analytics in Power BI and SQL to monitor forecast accuracy, model capacity scenarios, and mitigate risk. You’ll maintain ERP/MRP health—work orders, BOMs, planning parameters, and lifecycle updates—then lead Kaizen activities to streamline flow, optimize constraints, and reduce inventory. You close the loop by reporting KPIs (on‑time start/completion/delivery, lead‑time adherence, aged work orders, labor/material variances) and preparing for monthly performance reviews.

What You Will Do

Build and maintain a master production schedule aligned to business forecasts and S&OP objectives across multiple sites/product lines.

Validate capacity (labor, equipment), material availability, and design status for new orders to meet promised customer dates.

Lead capacity planning and generate forward‑looking capacity reports, calling out risks and required actions.

Own production work orders and ERP/MRP data integrity for inventory, BOMs, planning parameters, and product lifecycle transitions.

Track performance metrics—on‑time start/completion/delivery, lead‑time compliance, aging orders, variances—and resolve exceptions.

Perform root cause analysis on plan deviations; implement process improvements to improve flow and reduce inventory.

Coordinate with Purchasing to synchronize supply plans with demand and overall business priorities.

Integrate NPIs into plans, aligning launch milestones with manufacturing readiness across functions.

Leverage Power BI, SQL, and ERP reporting to improve forecast accuracy, capacity models, risk mitigation, and KPI visibility; lead monthly reviews.

Drive Lean/Kaizen initiatives and adopt best practices in constraint‑based and finite capacity scheduling.
