IRG Physical & Hand Therapy – Seattle, WA.
Pay Range $30.00/hr - $33.00/hr
Position Overview This PRN position provides injury prevention and physical assessments on site to athletes. The Athletic Trainer will work with and in conjunction with a physical therapist in all aspects of treatment, reconditioning, and prevention as set forth by the NATA Board of Certification. The candidate must exercise independent judgment to plan, prioritize, and organize the workload required to complete assigned tasks, and recommend changes in office practices and procedures as necessitated by business needs.
Job Duties / Responsibilities
Demonstrate proper taping, strapping, bracing, and fitting of support or athletic equipment.
Perform triage, CPR/First Aid, and AED services.
Compile injury and treatment statistics for the program for assigned sports in database.
Maintain HIPAA compliance at contracted sites.
Maintain Athletic Training Certification and State Licensure by attending educational courses, seminars, home study courses approved by the National Athletic Training Association.
Act as an IRG Brand Ambassador in all community related events.
Qualifications / Requirements
Entry level graduates with an NATABOC certification will be considered and encouraged to apply.
Bachelor’s Degree in athletic training or related field. In process and/or eligible for becoming licensed in Washington State.
Certified by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Board of Certification (NATABOC).
Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills, organizational skills, and interpersonal skills.
The ability to work with electronic medical record keeping systems and other computer databases (i.e.: Sportsware).
Ability to work under pressure, has time management skills, and can multitask.
Demonstrate they are an active, collaborative team member.
Ability to work weekends, nights, and nontraditional work hours.
