Job Description As a Security Officer - Government Patrol Rounds in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government. As a part‑time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. An unarmed patrol officer will monitor and patrol government locations, deter security‑related incidents through a visible presence, conduct routine patrols, provide outstanding customer service and communication, and contribute to a secure environment for all.

Thur 09:00 PM – 05:00 AM
Fri 09:00 PM – 05:00 AM
Sat 09:00 PM – 05:00 AM

What You’ll Do
Provide customer service by carrying out security‑related procedures, following site‑specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and professionally.
Conduct regular and random patrols to deter potential security concerns.
Observe and report any unusual activities, conditions, or hazards.
Communicate clearly with Allied Universal management and local authorities as required.
Assist visitors and employees with directions and general inquiries.
Document incidents and daily activities per Allied Universal and client requirements.
Minimum Requirements
Limited on‑site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
A Guard Card or license is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.
Age 18+ for unarmed, 21+ for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Background investigation required per federal, state, and local laws.
Considered qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
Drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations.
Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.
