Job Summary The Business / Data Analyst – Accounting & Finance will support the T&D Governance & Provisioning team within Power Delivery Services. This role focuses on contractor data analysis, data governance, process improvement, and program support. The ideal candidate will partner closely with internal business teams, vendors, and senior leadership to ensure data accuracy, operational efficiency, and effective execution of governance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis & Governance
Analyze large volumes of contractor personnel and financial-related data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Identify data discrepancies, trends, and risks; lead data cleanup efforts and resolution tracking.
Verify that all system updates and data changes are completed accurately and on schedule.
Program & Process Support
Support the migration of multiple business areas into the Field & Contractor Oversight program.
Identify business requirements and develop, assign, and validate provisioning job templates.
Develop and promote best practices to support efficient and compliant program execution.
Initiative & Implementation Management
Lead implementation activities for new initiatives, applications, or feature enhancements.
Prioritize initiatives by assessing business value versus effort and recommending solution options.
Create and maintain detailed documentation, including requirements, testing, implementation, and training materials.
Collaborate with vendors to understand product roadmaps, release strategies, and delivery timelines.
Review cybersecurity and phishing program data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
Support the Senior Advisor with reporting and insights for vendors and senior leadership.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
5–7 years of experience in business analysis, data analysis, or a related analytical role
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Strong experience working with large, complex datasets with multiple attributes
Excellent written and verbal communication skills across email, Teams, phone, and in-person meetings
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Demonstrated ability to perform moderately complex quantitative analysis and deliver actionable insights
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with data visualization or reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
Familiarity with accounting, finance, or contractor workforce data
Experience supporting governance, compliance, or provisioning programs
Background in utilities, energy, or other regulated industries
Strong customer service orientation with a focus on user experience
Hybrid work model (2 days onsite)
